 ARRIVING FROM THE EAST ON I-10
(FROM SLIDELL):
Stay left, pass exits 235A and 235B. Take exit 234C
"Business West-Westbank-Claiborne Avenue." This
exit is to your left. Stay in the left lane and follow sign
for "Business West-Westbank." Take the "Carondelet-St.
Charles Avenue" exit. There is no number on this
exit. You will come to a traffic light at the foot of the
ramp, go across the light and stay to your right lane. The
second light you come to is St. Charles Avenue, make a right
turn and stay to your left lane. Take a left turn on Euterpe
(Burger King at the corner), go one block on Euterpe, turn left
on Prytania, go 1 ½ blocks, see
Fairchild House on right.
ARRIVING FROM THE WEST ON I-10
(FROM BATON ROUGE AND AIRPORT):
(I-10) Follow signs for "New Orleans Business
District." Stay in middle lane, pass exit 234A.
DO NOT EXIT ON CLAIBORNE. Follow signs for "Business
West-Westbank." Take the "Carondelet-St.
Charles Avenue" exit. There is no number on this
exit. You will come to a traffic light at the foot of the
ramp, go across the light and stay to your right lane. The
second light you come to is St. Charles Avenue, make a right
turn and stay to your left lane. Take a left turn on Euterpe,
(Burger King at the corner), go one block on Euterpe, turn
left on Prytania, go 1 ½
blocks, see Fairchild House on right.
Transportation
to and from the Airport:
The airport is located in Kenner,
approximately 15 miles west of downtown. The following modes
of transportation are available:

Airport Shuttle- $13.00
each way per person. They will bring you directly to
Fairchild House. We suggest this service for single
travelers wanting to economize. The shuttle can take a
while due to other stops along the route. They also pick
up at Fairchild House to go back to the airport. Located
by baggage claim area.

Taxi- $28.00 flat rate for
up to 2 people each way. If there are 3 or more people,
then the rate is $10.00 per person. 5 person maximum per
cab. Taxis come directly to Fairchild House. The
taxi takes anywhere from 20-30 minutes.
